This fellowship was established to honor the artistic legacy of Prague Piano Festival founding member and faculty, pianist Joel Hastings. The fellowship is awarded to outstanding pianists in the early stages of their career, whose artistry captures the combination of musical passion, sensitivity, intelligence and mastery embodied in Joel Hastings' playing and teaching. Each year, one Hastings Fellow will be invited to perform and teach at the Festival.
