Soprano Asako Tamura has been praised by the press for her exquisite tone, artistic sensitivity, mesmerizing stagecraft as well as a first-class singing actress, brilliant jewel of a voice, blessed with glittering soprano. 
Asako has performed a wide variety of roles in Europe and USA since 2002 when she sang with Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti as the female soloist in the Three Tenors Concert in Yokohama before the World Cup Championship. 


She won numerous international voice competitions and was recently honored to sing the National Anthem as a first foreign opera singer at the Exhibition Game of the Yankees vs the Nationals.
 

She appeared many opera companies in diverse countries.It includes the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor at Hungary State Opera, Romanian National Opera, Teatro Lirico di Cagliali, National Trapani summer opera Festival. Another title role of Madame Butterfly at London’s Royal Albert Hall,Uruguay National Opera in Teatro Solis, the Dubuque Symphony, Lyric Opera Baltimore, Sarasota Opera and the Japanese Embassy in Washington D.C. and Violetta of La Traviata with Teatro Filarmonico(Arena di Verona), Kalamazoo Symphony, El Paso Opera, Hungary State Opera etc.As orchestral engagements, she sang Knoxville, summer of 1915 with Chicago Philharmony, Opera gala concert at Rome festival orchestra in Opera Festival Foro Romano, BBC orchestra in London, Los Angeles Symphony, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra etc. She was also invited by numerous important orchestras all over Japan as a guest singer.Her other engagements includes some solo concert in the first class venue like Carnegie Hall, Pasadena Auditorium(L.A.) Zilka Hall(Houston), Wigmore Hall (London) Villa Kerylos ( Beau-lieu sue mer), Suntory Hall(Tokyo) etc.
