TingYi/Tina Lu, Festival Coordinator
TingYi/Tina Lu studied Music Therapy, Piano Pedagogy, and Psychology at Florida State University as an undergraduate Presidential Scholar class of 2022. Her primary piano teachers were Dr.David Kalhous and Dr.Yun-Ling Hsu. TingYi/Tina was the primary investigator of three student-led research projects under the main supervision of Dr.Rachel Goff-Albritton and Dr.Diana Dumlavwalla. She was the recipient of the 2019 American Music Therapy Association Undergraduate Research award for her systematic literature review of "The Effect of Music Therapy on Psychological Outcomes in Aphasia" which was recently published in the Journal of Music and Medicine (2023). Lu also received the 2021 FSU IDEA grant to co-pilot a 6-week virtual Aphasia wellness choir. In 2022, she attended the Prague Piano Festival as an International Gilman scholar and participant-researcher to explore student-teacher interaction behaviors. TingYi/Tina is currently on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in Tallahassee and teaches virtual/in-person piano lessons.
